Brian Simon Katongole is a professional accountant and Public Finance Management expert with the CPA (U) and ACCA with over 12 years of experience of capacity building, offering technical assistance in areas of Audit, Risk Management, Governance and Information Security as well as Disaster Recovery.
Most recently, with PFMR1 and PFMR2 at the ECOWAS Commission, he successfully offered technical assistance in more than 15 countries in areas of Governance, Risk, Compliance, ICT, Information Security, and data protection.
He has supported Risk Management improvement activities in all ECOWAS Institutions and Agencies. This included designing Frameworks and facilitating risk awareness trainings to more than 20 ECOWAS Institutions and Agencies as well as implementing GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance).
He has consulted with international firms like ECORYS UK, ECORYS Netherlands, GIZ Nigeria and DT Global.
